TAKARA TOMY's high-end toy brand T-SPARK has announced the latest addition to its collaborative toy series, "SYNERGENEX," featuring a crossover between their popular "ZOIDS" series and the hunting action game "Monster Hunter." The new product, "Wild Liger Gokou," is scheduled for release in late February 2027.

The subject of this collaboration, the "Stygian Zinogre," is a subspecies of Zinogre that first appeared in "Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate." While similar in appearance to Zinogre, its carapace and fur feature a black and white color scheme, and its temperament is far more ferocious. Its body possesses a symbiotic relationship with "Dracophage Bugs," allowing it to harness potent Dragon-elemental energy, which manifests as a crimson-black lightning-like aura infused with Dragon energy around its body. This energy enables it to thrive in harsh environments like volcanoes and frozen tundras. Once fully charged with Dragon energy, Stygian Zinogre enters its "Draconic Aura" state, significantly enhancing its combat abilities.
"SYNERGENEX Wild Liger Gokou" is conceptualized as a Stygian Zinogre-hunting Zoid, modified from the protagonist's machine "ZW01 Wild Liger" from "Zoids Wild Blast." Similar to the "Wild Liger Zinogre" kit, it features entirely new sculpting from its skeletal frame to its armor. It faithfully recreates the Stygian Zinogre-inspired powerful limbs, the large booster-equipped tail, the Dracophage Bug units mounted on its back, and the cool head sculpt capable of unleashing a "Roar Cannon" from its mouth. Furthermore, gradient metallic paint is used to express the Dragon-elemental energy.

The model incorporates various gimmicks that showcase its weaponry and enhance playability. Its "Gokou Eyes" feature a light-gathering gimmick to simulate illumination. The "Twin Gokou Horns" on its head and the "Gokou Anchor Claws" on its four limbs have manual deployment mechanisms. Activating the motor unit embedded within the articulated frame allows the Zoid to walk automatically and recreate a roaring pose. During movement, its signature "Instinct Release" gimmick enables the Wild Liger Gokou to enter its "Draconic Aura" state, causing the Dracophage Bug units on its back to automatically deploy and reveal cool Dragon-elemental energy effects.
