From GOOD SMILE COMPANY's mecha-centric brand, MECHA SMILE, comes the latest release in their completed, combining toy series, "THE GATTAI"! Full details have just dropped for the "DX Dandivine" from the upcoming anime "Beast King GoDandivine," slated for release in October 2026.
As part of its 25th-anniversary celebration, GOOD SMILE COMPANY has announced its brand-new "Gattai God Series" project, set to launch in 2026. This series aims to carry the culture and appeal of combining robots into the future, bringing together numerous creators who are passionate about mecha and the MECHA SMILE brand. The project features a complete synergy between the toy products and animated works right from the planning stage. The goal is to release a completely different combining robot anime each year, with corresponding toys from MECHA SMILE, aspiring to create new classics for the robot anime genre in the Reiwa era.
The first entry in the series, "Beast King GoDandivine," is scheduled to begin airing in October 2026, produced in collaboration with industry titans like ANIPLEX, TAKARA TOMY, and Toei. The story is set 20 years after the combining robot Dandivine brought peace to humanity by repelling the mysterious enemy "Yami-Bosuto." The toy manufacturer "Kaisuka," which once became a sensation by making Dandivine toys, is now facing dire financial straits. Just as the company president desperately wishes for Dandivine's return, the Yami-Bosuto coincidentally reappear. High school student Gekijin Shijima becomes the new pilot for Dandivine, and a new battle is about to begin.
The "THE GATTAI DX Dandivine" features mecha and product design by the Korean team at GOD BRAVE STUDIO. Since the toy planning and anime production are happening concurrently, the proportions and combination/transformation mechanics are faithfully recreated. The set includes the core warrior "Dandi-Ace" and three Mythical Beast God Machines: "Slash Unicorn," "Magnum Titan," and "Flame Garuda." Each machine boasts intricate sculpting, a rich paint finish, and articulated joints for individual play. Dandi-Ace also comes with its own exclusive weaponry.
Through a complete transformation mechanism, the four machines combine into "Dandivine" with no leftover parts, creating an imposing figure standing approximately 24cm tall. The leg articulation is designed to allow for deep kneeling poses. The arms feature a gear-driven automatic transformation, allowing the hands to switch to the built-in Gatling guns. The three feather parts on each wing have a linked deployment gimmick. For weaponry, the set includes the "Unicorn Saber," formed from the upper body of Slash Unicorn. This can be further combined with Flame Garuda's tail parts to create the even larger "Dandivine Greatsword."
