T-ARTS, a toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY, is back with new releases from its "Super Creature Lab" series! This time, they're introducing the mysterious "Shiba Inu ga Oka" capsule toys! There are six different designs, each priced at 300 JPY per play, with an expected release in June 2026.
The "Super Creature Lab" is known for its unique design concepts, and their latest research subject, "Shiba Inu ga Oka," is a mysterious creature born from a sudden mutation of a beloved Shiba Inu-shaped hill! These giant, adorable, and plump Shiba Inu figures come in various expressions and two colorways: fresh green and autumn red. The "1-chome Shiba Inu" features a sharp, dignified mouth; the "2-chome Shiba Inu" has a small 'o'-shaped mouth; and the "3-chome Shiba Inu" sports a playful tongue-out expression, as if it forgot to pull its tongue back in! Each figure, approximately 5 cm tall, utilizes flocking technology to create a grass-like texture, with even the cute paw pads and tiny butts meticulously sculpted.
