Back in January, "The Batman - Part II" made waves by reportedly recruiting Marvel's "Winter Soldier," Sebastian Stan, for its cast, with widespread rumors pegging him as the villainous Two-Face, much to fans' excitement. However, renowned film journalist Jeff Sneider, who first broke the story, has now walked back his initial scoop, revealing that Stan is actually being considered for a different character.

The original rumor suggested that Stan would play Harvey Dent/Two-Face, with Scarlett Johansson as his wife, Gilda Dent, and Charles Dance as his father, Christopher Dent.
But in a new report on his paid blog, The InSneider, Sneider admitted his previous information was incorrect. According to his latest intel, Dance and Johansson are actually set to play an unidentified father-daughter duo. Meanwhile, "Eternals" star Brian Tyree Henry (pictured above) is now reportedly the one in the running for Harvey Dent, while Stan is being eyed for the role of another, lesser-known serial killer—Victor Zsasz (pictured below).

In the comics, Victor Zsasz was a wealthy businessman who lost his entire fortune to the Penguin in a high-stakes card game. Devastated by this loss and the death of his parents, he attempted suicide. However, as he was about to jump from a bridge, he was attacked by a mugger, whom Zsasz managed to overpower and kill. Zsasz began to view this experience as a "gift," embarking on a mission to "liberate" those who no longer valued their own lives—a philosophy similar to the Jigsaw Killer from the "Saw" franchise.

As for the roles Dance and Johansson might play, specific details remain under wraps. Sneider only noted that they are not portraying established characters but rather original creations that blend elements from various comic book figures. If cast, Henry would not be the first Black actor to portray Harvey Dent; Billy Dee Williams famously played the role in Tim Burton's "Batman" (pictured above), though his version of the character never transformed into Two-Face on screen.
While officials have only confirmed that new actors are joining the cast without specifying roles, the latest casting rumors remain plausible. Additionally, Sneider mentioned that Gotham's famous secret society, the "Court of Owls," will make an appearance. He also reported that "The Penguin" will remain a limited series and is not expected to be renewed for a second season.
