Chinese high-quality statue manufacturer JIMEI PALACE recently unveiled a new "One Piece" themed product: a 1/6 scale collectible statue of Akainu. This release offers both his Marine Admiral and Fleet Admiral looks. This article focuses on the Fleet Admiral version, which also comes in two editions: Resonance and Ultimate. Following the Marineford War, former Fleet Admiral Sengoku nominated Aokiji as his successor, but the World Government's higher-ups favored Akainu. This led to a grueling ten-day duel between the two on Punk Hazard, an intense battle that drastically altered the island's environment, transforming it into a land of extreme climates, half burning and half freezing. Akainu ultimately emerged victorious, taking on the mantle of the new Fleet Admiral.
This 1/6 scale Akainu collectible statue stands approximately 46 cm tall and features his white suit attire after becoming Fleet Admiral. It builds upon the Admiral version with a refined repaint, meticulously reproducing details like the iconic chest tattoo and the "MARINE" lettering on his cap. The head sculpt has been updated to show him clenching a cigar, and a new scar, stretching from his cheek to his neck, has been added, a testament to his epic duel with Aokiji.
The most significant difference for the Ultimate Edition lies in its base, which features dynamic magma splatter effects dripping from beneath his hand. It also includes additional smoke effects and an LED light-up function, offering three modes: constant, breathing, and flowing, allowing collectors to display an even more powerful and imposing presence compared to the Resonance Edition.
