To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the legendary fighting manga series Baki, Akita Shoten has joined forces with four major Japanese railway companies—Sagami Railway, Nagoya Railroad, Nishi-Nippon Railroad, and Hanshin Electric Railway—for an epic train etiquette campaign titled "The Strongest Train Manners Lecture on Earth."
These collaborative etiquette posters, featuring dynamic illustrations of Baki characters, are set to start appearing from July 16th across stations and trains along each company's lines, running until the end of the year.

The campaign's punchy tagline, "Manners must be protected, AAAAAHHH!!" (マナーは守護〈まも〉らねばならぬッッ!!), aims to leverage the undeniable charisma of the Baki characters to educate passengers on essential train etiquette. Think offering priority seats, queuing up properly for boarding and alighting, and making sure your personal belongings aren't hogging extra space.

The posters cleverly integrate iconic scenes from the series. For instance, "the strongest creature on Earth," Yujiro Hanma, becomes a hilarious cautionary tale, brazenly hogging seats with his legs spread wide. Meanwhile, Retsu Kaioh reprises his signature line, "Giving up my seat? No problem at all!!" showcasing his considerate side. Each poster delivers powerful manga visuals paired with train etiquette messages, all infused with Baki's unique, fiery spirit.
What's more, the posters also include English explanations, making them accessible to international visitors. They'll be displayed across stations and train cars on the Sotetsu, Meitetsu, Nishitetsu, and Hanshin lines, continuing through the end of the year.

This collaboration brings together a roster of popular Baki characters, including Baki Hanma, Yujiro Hanma, Kaoru Hanayama, Doppo Orochi, and Retsu Kaioh. Each character, true to their distinct personality, will deliver etiquette messages in a powerful yet humorous way.

The collaborative posters will be displayed at major stations and inside train cars along the Sotetsu, Meitetsu, Nishitetsu, and Hanshin Electric Railway lines. The hope is that these impactful and entertaining visuals will not only grab the attention of Baki fans but also help more passengers naturally understand and adhere to train etiquette.
