LEGO recently announced the launch of a new set based on the classic sci-fi series "The X-Files," scheduled for a full release on August 4.
To promote the 1,478-piece set, which includes eight minifigures, LEGO brought back Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress Gillian Anderson, who famously portrayed Agent Scully in "The X-Files," to star in its promotional campaign. In the ad, Anderson reprises a familiar scene from the series, meticulously assembling the set's various scene details and accessories as if examining evidence.

This set originated as a submission to the LEGO Ideas platform, created by Australian artist Brent Waller. The platform invites fans to submit their own LEGO creations for public voting, and if a project garners enough votes, LEGO considers it for official production. Waller's "X-Files"-themed creation was submitted to LEGO Ideas and ultimately garnered enough support for consideration.
