The roster for "Avengers 5: Doomsday" has been a constant source of fan speculation. While Marvel has officially confirmed a core lineup including the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers, the new Black Panther, Thor, the Fox-verse X-Men, Scott Lang's Ant-Man and Cassie Lang's Ant-Man, Namor, Loki, Doctor Strange, and both Captain America Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson, Marvel Studios has long teased even more surprises in the main feature.

Although Marvel has yet to reveal additional characters, popular entertainment scooper MyTimeToShineHello recently claimed that a massive roster of heroes will join the final climactic battle. This includes Moon Knight, Tom Holland's Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Ms. Marvel, the second Hawkeye (Kate Bishop), Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Halle Berry's Storm, and Dafne Keen's X-23. These characters are reportedly summoned by Loki to Latveria, the home country of the villain Doctor Doom.

Previously, rumors frequently suggested that Maguire's Spider-Man and Jackman's Wolverine would face off early in the film. With various universes colliding in a destructive crisis, Wolverine and Deadpool were rumored to be tasked with detonating a bomb to destroy Maguire's "Spider-Man" universe to preserve the Fox "X-Men" universe. However, those earlier reports indicated that both Maguire and Jackman would perish along with their respective universes in the opening act. Judging by this latest information, it's highly likely they will either be resurrected for the finale, or Marvel has since revised the script to prevent their permanent demise.

Furthermore, MyTimeToShineHello also reported a few days ago that while Monica Rambeau and her multiversal mother, Binary, will not appear in "Doomsday," their sacrifice to prevent an incursion event will be directly mentioned in the dialogue. If this information proves true and they are not resurrected, then their final appearance would have been in the post-credits scene of "The Marvels."
