Matthew Vaughn, the acclaimed director behind the "Kingsman" film series and "X-Men: First Class," has primarily focused on feature films throughout his extensive career in production and directing. He had never helmed a television series until recently. British newspaper The Sun exclusively reported that Vaughn is currently in London, quietly filming a football-themed series titled "Day 1s," with "Homeland" star Damian Lewis cast in the lead role.

Lewis is set to portray a football agent named Stanley Dalton. The series concept is reportedly inspired by Darren Dein, the real-life agent for retired French football legend Thierry Henry. Both Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo are confirmed to make appearances in the show. The rumored cast also includes British rapper Dave and rising actress Carlotta Banat, alongside other major, yet-to-be-announced football stars.
The series marks the debut project for UR • Marv, a new production company co-founded by Ronaldo and Vaughn. Details regarding the broadcast platform and release schedule have not yet been finalized.
