Japanese model manufacturer Megahouse has unveiled the developing prototype for the second product in their "VARIABLE ACTION KIT" series, a line of semi-assembled model kits derived from the VARIABLE ACTION series. This new item, the "Dwaddge," is based on the manga "Mobile Suit Gundam: Reon of Zeon," with its release date yet to be determined.
The MS-09G Dwaddge is the final mass-production variant of the Zeon military's ground combat mobile suit "Dom" series. Its design is specifically optimized for desert warfare, featuring reinforced thermonuclear jet propulsion units and additional sub-fuel tanks in its legs to extend operational time. A key characteristic is the dust-proofing applied to multiple propulsion units and heat vents. Despite its generational performance at the end of the One Year War, the conflict concluded before it could significantly aid Zeon. Subsequently, it saw long-term use by Zeon remnants and anti-Federation guerrilla organizations.
The "VAKIT Dwaddge" is crafted based on its depiction in the manga, distinguishing itself from the more standard Dom-like appearances seen in anime series like "ZZ" and "UC." This version boasts significantly larger, heavier, and more refined full-body armor. Its backpack features massive wings, thrusters, and fuel tanks, and it wields an exceptionally large "PzG44 Anti-MS Rifle."
