From Kamen Rider Zero-One kicking off the Reiwa era to the currently airing Kamen Rider ZEZTZ, the Reiwa Kamen Rider series has been delivering non-stop action. This year, the torch will be passed to the new installment, Kamen Rider MY-TH, set to premiere this September.
At a production press conference held in Tokyo on the 4th, Toei dropped a ton of new info and a special teaser trailer. The announcement revealed more of the cast, introduced the new Rider organization "Zodiac Alliance" and its villains, and confirmed that veteran writer Naruhisa Arakawa will be penning the script.
As previously revealed, the protagonist, Kamen Rider MY-TH, is the first main Rider in the franchise's history to be based on a mouse. The hero, Otozumi Sora, will be played by Ikuho Akiya. Continuing a design element from Kamen Rider ZEZTZ, he'll wear his transformation belt on his chest and use egg-shaped items called "Ride Eggs" to transform. The main heroine, Yuna Mizuki, will be played by Riko Horikawa.
With the full cast now officially announced, we also got a look at the enemies our hero will face: mysterious monsters known as the "Fushigi," which attack and prey on humans. Otozumi Sora, as Kamen Rider MY-TH, will step up to protect people from this new threat.
MY-TH sports silver armor and striking blue eyes. His rivals include the red, cat-themed Kamen Rider Maoh and the black, cat-themed Kamen Rider Lido. In a cool design contrast, while MY-TH wears his belt on his chest, the Kamen Riders of the villainous "Zodiac Alliance" all wear their transformation belts on their waists.
The "Zodiac Alliance" is an organization that has awakened from a 100-year slumber to combat the Fushigi. We already knew its leader is Kabuto Minetaka, played by Keisuke Higashi, who transforms into Kamen Rider Maoh.

▼ Tiger / Kamen Rider Tigru (played by Shunya Kaneko)
A master of observation and analysis, Tigru has a mature and reliable personality, acting as a big brother to his comrades. However, because the fight against the Fushigi is a matter of life and death, he can also show a stern side. He and Kabuto have supported each other for a long time and are trusted friends.
▼ Rabbit / Kamen Rider Dat (played by Nanako Ando)
Possessing incredibly sharp hearing, Dat can detect the presence of the Fushigi. Confident in her speed, she is often seen timing herself with a stopwatch and deeply admires and respects Kabuto.

An extremely skilled fighter, Jao uses the longest tail among the Zodiac members in combination with a scythe to unleash relentless attacks, giving the Fushigi almost no chance to counter. He lives by the creed "power is everything" and is fiercely loyal to Kabuto.
Additionally, it was announced that Hayate Ataka will play Tatsuomi Asao, the private tutor of the heroine, Yuna Mizuki.
Joining the previously announced production team, the series will be lead-directed by Shojiro Nakazawa (Kamen Rider Ex-Aid, Kamen Rider Geats). The chief producers are franchise veteran Naomi Takebe and Yoichi Minato (Kamen Rider Gotchard). The action director will be longtime suit actor Satoshi Fujita.
It was also confirmed that the head writer is Naruhisa Arakawa, known for his work on Kamen Rider Kuuga, Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger, and Mashin Sentai Kiramager.
With a "Zodiac Alliance" in the mix, you can bet we're in for a massive cast of Riders this year. The studio will be rolling out more details soon, so stay tuned for more updates!
