Glen Powell, whose star has been rapidly rising in Hollywood, is not only thriving in his acting career but also actively expanding his production ventures. This past April, Powell's production company Barnstorm and A24 Films finalized plans to take on a reboot of the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" franchise. Now, Barnstorm has teamed up with Universal Pictures to launch another remake project, this time tackling the South Korean crime thriller "Confession of Murder" (내가 살인범이다).

As exclusively reported by Deadline a few days ago, Universal has secured the remake rights to "Confession of Murder." Powell is confirmed to produce the film under his Barnstorm banner, with Chris MacBride set to pen the screenplay.
"Confession of Murder" has already seen a previous adaptation in Japan, titled "Memoirs of a Murderer" (22年目の告白 -私が殺人犯です-). That version saw the lead roles, originally played by Jung Jae-young and Park Si-hoo in the Korean film, recast with Tatsuya Fujiwara and Hideaki Ito. Casting for the American remake has yet to be announced.
