BANDAI's TAF (TOKUSATSU ACTION FIGURE) series, dedicated to Tokusatsu heroes, has announced the latest release from "Kamen Rider MY-TH": the "Kamen Rider MY-TH & MY-TH Seed X Egg", slated for release on September 19, 2026.
The latest installment in the Kamen Rider series for 2026, "Kamen Rider MY-TH", sets its stage 100 years before the main story. In this past, a group of Riders known as the "Twelve Zodiac Alliance" utilized animal powers to transform and protect the world from invading monsters called "Fushigi." However, their leader, "Kamen Rider MY-TH," suddenly betrayed the alliance, and the remaining members subsequently fell into a century-long slumber, leaving many mysteries unsolved.
Fast forward to the present day, where a sarcastic butler named Sora Otozumi and the innocent young lady Yuna Mizuki reside in an elegant mansion. Sora Otozumi possesses the power to transform into "Kamen Rider MY-TH" and, with Yuna Mizuki's support, battles the "Fushigi" monsters. Meanwhile, the "Twelve Zodiac Alliance" has reawakened in this era, but a new, unexpected leader has emerged: Taketoshi Minetaka, "Kamen Rider Maou." Upon learning of MY-TH's existence, he initiates a covert hunting operation, setting the stage for an intense clash between two formidable factions.
The "TAF Kamen Rider MY-TH & MY-TH Seed X Egg" stands approximately 15 cm tall. Aside from the transformation driver, its sculpting and paintwork closely replicate the suit seen in the show. The metallic blue paint application across the body features three distinct shades—dark, medium, and light—while circular structures on the armor and the tail are rendered with glossy silver molded parts. The figure boasts 38 points of articulation, including pull-out mechanisms in the shoulders, chest, and waist. Compared to previously released ZEZTZ series characters, the neck's backward articulation range has been enhanced. This product's design also complies with Japanese safety standards for ages 3 and up, ensuring it's safe for children to play with.
Accessories include the dedicated weapon "MY-TH EDGE (Gun/Sword Mode)" and various interchangeable hand parts, allowing for recreation of in-show combat poses. The "MY-TH Seed X Egg" can also link with the separately sold "DX MY-TH Driver," which expands to reveal unique MY-TH chibi illustrations and plays dedicated sound effects.
