BANDAI SPIRITS’ TAMASHII NATIONS has unveiled a new addition to its popular S.H.Figuarts action figure line from the hit anime ONE PIECE: S.H.Figuarts SAKAZUKI (Akainu) -MARINEFORD-. The figure will be sold through the Tamashii Web Shop in Japan for 16,500 yen (tax included; shipping and handling charged separately), with shipping scheduled for March 2027.
Akainu, whose real name is Sakazuki, was one of the three Marine Admirals during the Summit War of Marineford and is a Logia-type user of the Magma-Magma Fruit. He follows a doctrine of “Thorough Justice”, taking an uncompromising approach that accepts even the deaths of fellow Marines and civilians if it means eradicating evil. During the war, he deceived Whitebeard-affiliated captain Squard into stabbing Whitebeard and executed a Marine who tried to flee the battlefield. He later insulted Whitebeard to provoke Portgas D. Ace into confronting him, then punched through Ace when he protected Luffy. After the war, Sakazuki defeated fellow Admiral Aokiji in a ten-day duel over the position of Fleet Admiral and now commands the Marines.
S.H.Figuarts SAKAZUKI (Akainu) -MARINEFORD- stands approximately 200 mm tall and recreates Sakazuki’s imposing, powerfully built physique. Unlike the coat used for the previously released Kizaru figure, the Marine coat is primarily made from lightweight fabric, with plastic used for the gold shoulder trim and cuffs. The flexible material preserves articulation and makes wind-swept poses easier to create. The set includes four interchangeable face parts, three pairs of interchangeable hands, and one pair of hands covered in magma effects. It also includes a complete interchangeable arm set with magma effects and a special magma-covered arm for the separately sold S.H.Figuarts PORTGAS.D.ACE -MARINEFORD-, recreating the moment Ace is struck through the torso. A bonus expression part for the separately sold S.H.Figuarts MONKEY.D.LUFFY -MARINEFORD- captures Luffy’s stunned reaction to the scene.
