To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the popular manga "Shugo Chara!", Japanese toy company Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) is releasing a new themed product: the "Amulet Spade" 1/7 scale pre-painted figure. It will retail for 22,000 JPY and is slated for an April 2027 release!
"Shugo Chara!" is a shojo manga series penned by the manga artist duo PEACH-PIT. It was adapted into a TV anime by SATELIGHT in 2007. The story follows protagonist Amu Hinamori and the Guardians, a group of students from Seiyo Academy who possess "Guardian Characters." Together, they search for the magical eggs known as "Humpty Eggs" that can grant any wish or dream. Simultaneously, they resolve various incidents caused by "X-Eggs," which are sent out by the villainous organization EASTER, also seeking the Humpty Eggs, to corrupt people's hearts.
This 1/7 scale Amulet Spade pre-painted figure stands approximately 25.7 cm tall, bringing Amu and Miki's dynamic attack pose to life! The sculpt meticulously recreates the ruffled details of her shirt and the elegant collar design. The flowing ribbons behind her and the Humpty Lock on her chest are also exquisitely reproduced. The paint application delicately captures Amu's signature pink hair, with shading applied throughout the body to enhance light and shadow contrast. The watercolor brush in her hand features a blue pearlescent finish on the handle, while the brush tip is painted to replicate the vibrant mix of colorful paints. Continuing the series' signature style, the base is shaped like a spade, representing Miki, perfectly accentuating the charm of Amulet Spade! Furthermore, it can be displayed alongside the previously released "Amu Hinamori Uniform ver." and "Amulet Heart" figures to showcase Amu in various adorable forms!
Pre-orders placed through the Kotobukiya official website will also include an exclusive winking face part, offering even more display options!
