Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY has officially announced the latest addition to its Q-style articulated figure series, "Nendoroid," with the "Hatsune Miku KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI Collaboration Ver. (Rella)." This new figure, stemming from the "Hatsune Miku x KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI Collaboration Project," is slated for release in April 2027.
This commercialized Hatsune Miku design originates from the second phase of the 2026 "Hatsune Miku x KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI Collaboration Project," specifically designed by illustrator Rella. The figure draws numerous elements and colors from one of KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI's most famous Ukiyo-e works, "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji: The Great Wave off Kanagawa." The iconic colossal waves are intricately integrated into Hatsune Miku's twin-tail hairstyle and entire outfit. As she dances, her form evokes the continuous, frothy white waves emerging from the painting, brimming with both power and beauty.
The "Nendoroid Hatsune Miku KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI Collaboration Ver. (Rella)" recreates Rella's design in an adorable Q-style, standing approximately 10 cm tall. Its intricate sculpting faithfully reproduces the wave-infused hairstyle and attire. Clear and charming facial expressions are achieved through detailed paintwork and printing, capturing the elegant colors and brushwork characteristic of Ukiyo-e. This imbues Hatsune Miku's entire body with dynamic ripples and waves. The figure includes three interchangeable face plates: a "smiling face," a "sideways-glancing smiling face," and a "tongue-out face," along with a "paintbrush" accessory she can hold, allowing for a variety of adorable poses.
