BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., has announced a re-issue plan for older products in its "Mobile Suit Gundam" "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE" candy toy series. The first re-issue will be "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #04," originally released in 2016, with an expected launch in January 2027.
Launched in 2015, the "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #" series is an improved version of the original "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE" line. These candy toys feature Mobile Suits from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, sculpted in an SD (Super Deformed) proportion at approximately 55mm tall. They boast sharp, cool designs with high-density details, meticulously recreating intricate color separation and unit markings. To date, the series has released 30 standard waves and over 100 different Mobile Suits. With some early releases now difficult to acquire, this re-issue project has been initiated. However, the product price has been adjusted to 650 JPY + tax per unit.

The re-issued "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE #04" set includes six Mobile Suits: Strike Freedom Gundam, Gundam Virtue, Beargguy III, Bound Doc, Geara Doga (Rezin Schnyder Custom), and Jegan (ECOAS Type). The Strike Freedom Gundam's "Super DRAGOON" mobile weapon wings can be displayed in their deployed state using interchangeable parts, while the Jegan (ECOAS Type) can be reconfigured to represent Conroy Haagensen's unit with swap-out parts.
