This build focuses on balancing an organic appearance with long-term structural stability.
The flesh tones were built up through layered color work, allowing subtle traces of blood and veins to show beneath the pale, sickly skin. Cracks and growth-like textures were also preserved, reinforcing the Angel’s unsettling appearance as something caught between a living organism and an unknowable entity.
Although the parts have some natural flexibility, thick brass rods were installed inside the main body to provide additional support and improve stability during long-term display.
Because the original kit retained visible 3D-printing marks before molding, the entire surface was repaired and sanded to improve the finish and restore the cohesive texture of organic tissue.
A diffused LED setup was used instead of point-source lighting, giving the illuminated areas a more even glow and a stronger sense of volume.
I hope you enjoy the finished build.
