Japanese toy company BANDAI is launching “Zaku Head & Dom Head Reboot 2,” the second reboot wave in its Gashapon Mobile Suit Gundam EXCEED MODEL series. This release recreates the Principality of Zeon’s iconic Zaku II and Dom as oversized head models. Continuing the line’s capsule-free concept, each spherical shell assembles directly into a mobile suit head display. The collection includes four designs, priced at 600 yen per pull including tax, and is scheduled for release in late February 2027.
The previously featured EXCEED MODEL Dom Head drew attention for its spherical form and intricately sculpted head design. Reboot 2 brings both the Zaku and Dom into the same lineup with four versions: High Mobility Type Zaku II (Real Image Color), Mass Production Type Zaku II (Real Image Color), Dom (Real Image Color), and Dom (Cold Climate Type). The Zaku heads retain the power cables running around both sides and the signature mono-eye camera, while the Dom features thick head armor and its distinctive cross-shaped mono-eye track. Depending on the mobile suit, the models come in dark blue, olive green, or red-and-blue color schemes. Each one also includes a black display base, letting collectors build an entire row of Principality of Zeon mobile suit heads.
