Following popular releases like Minato Aqua and Gawr Gura from the VTuber group hololive production, GOOD SMILE COMPANY, the Japanese manufacturer behind the "Nendoroid" series with over a thousand unique figures, is set to release the world-class idol, Nendoroid Akai Haato! Priced at 5,900 JPY, this highly anticipated figure is slated for release in June 2022.
Akai Haato (赤井はあと), a first-generation member of hololive, debuted in 2018 as a tsundere Australian exchange student who enjoyed being called "Haato-sama." Despite this, she often showed a clumsy, tearful, and adorable side. Beyond her singing talent, she also enjoyed challenging self-deprecating games. Her mascot, Haaton, is a yellow pig with a guillotine sign around its neck, showing stitched-up marks from decapitation. After attempting special projects like dark cuisine and "ero-art" appreciation, she developed the chaotic alter ego, Haachama (HAACHAMA). During her 1-million subscriber celebration, she even performed a dual-personality skit battling for control of her body, which was well-received by fans.
The Nendoroid Akai Haato captures her signature red ribbon and heart-themed sailor uniform in adorable chibi form, meticulously recreating her ample figure and ribbon-tied hairstyle. Standing approximately 10 cm tall, she comes packed with accessories including her pig mascot, Haaton, a burnt frying pan, and the terrifying "Tarantula" ingredient from HAACHAMA Cooking's ramen dish! Interchangeable face plates include a "standard face," a "smiling face," and a "despair face" filled with terror. These, combined with various hand parts like her iconic heart gesture, allow for a wide range of lively and cute poses!
