Returning to its roots with a classic color scheme! Japanese toy brand ELECTRIC TOYS' new sofubi-focused sub-brand, "SOFVIPS" (ソフビップス), is releasing a special edition of their previously launched "Crayon Shin-chan" Shinnosuke Nohara (野原しんのすけ) sofubi figure. This new version features a distinctive yellow and purple colorway and is slated for a March 2022 release!
While most people associate Shin-chan with his iconic red and yellow outfit, long-time fans will recall that the very first manga volume cover featured Shin-chan in a yellow shirt and purple shorts. This original color scheme became less prominent due to the anime's widespread use of the red shirt and yellow shorts, which left a stronger impression. Interestingly, the re-released first volume of "New Crayon Shin-chan" also brought back this classic yellow and purple look for its cover!
