Japanese model maker MegaHouse has announced the latest collaboration product for its original action figure series, "DESKTOP ARMY," featuring "Shinji Ikari & Kaworu Nagisa & Evangelion Unit-13" from "Rebuild of Evangelion," slated for release in June 2022.
In the "Desktop Army" universe, the "Evangelion" characters are reimagined as "D-phone" doll-type mobile devices with built-in AI. These highly articulated figures stand approximately 80mm tall, boasting multiple flexible joints throughout their bodies. The EVAs themselves feature a power armor-like design, capable of operating independently in "Auto Mode" or combining with the pilot figures in "Riding Mode." With a wide array of weapons, collectors can recreate new scenarios distinct from the anime.
The "Shinji Ikari & Kaworu Nagisa & Evangelion Unit-13" set includes both Shinji Ikari and Kaworu Nagisa action figures. Maintaining the series' signature body style, these 80mm palm-sized figures boast multiple points of articulation. The power armor-like Evangelion Unit-13 features a unique dual-cockpit design, allowing both Shinji and Kaworu figures to pilot it simultaneously. Accessories are included to recreate its iconic four-armed appearance, wielding two Spears of Longinus.
