Designer toy brand Bid Toys unveiled the latest addition to its "Kobuta Shokudou" (こぶた食堂) series yesterday (August 8th): the "Premium Iberico Pork Chop Gift Box KAP&PURU"! Timed perfectly for Mid-Autumn Festival barbecues, this new release will be available for purchase on the Bid Toys official website starting September 10, 2021, at 11:00 A.M., with an estimated shipping date of September 15.
The "Kobuta Shokudou" series transforms the mid-section of a pig into various popular gourmet dishes, utilizing high-level painting techniques to achieve a realistic, edible texture. From the golden, crispy coating of "Tonkatsu Pig Katsudon" (炸豬排豬 小勝) to the delicious filling and overflowing broth of "Xiaolongbao Pig Xiaolong" (小籠包豬 小龍), the succulent meat and glistening sheen of "Dongpo Pork Pig Dong Dong," and the perfectly grilled, gradient colors of "Yakitori Pig YAKI," each piece is designed to make collectors incredibly hungry! Adding to the dilemma, the pigs feature pouting expressions, as if pleading, "Don't eat me!" This creates a delightful conflict for collectors, torn between savoring the artistry and resisting the urge to feast.
The "KAP&PURU" Iberico Pork Chop Gift Box is crafted from resin, measuring 14 × 13 × 6 cm. It depicts a sweet pig couple, not only showcasing their affectionate display but also highlighting the beautifully marbled fat distribution that makes Iberico pork so renowned. With faces touching and hands clasped, their "don't eat us!" pleading gaze is twice as potent. The rosy blush across their ears, noses, and limbs adds to their undeniable charm. The set also includes a decorative leaf and a packaging box sealed with "極上イベリア豚" (Premium Iberico Pork) branding.
▼ In a surprising twist, Bid Toys is also offering a "Love Triangle Affair Set," styled with all the drama of a prime-time soap opera! This set includes the new KAP&PURU, looking as if they're snuggled under a blanket of fresh meat, alongside the previously released Dongpo Pork Pig Dong Dong. It's absolutely hilarious!
