Sunrise Inc. today (the 15th) officially unveiled the title of the latest "Mobile Suit Gundam" television anime series: "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (機動戦士ガンダム 水星の魔女)," scheduled to begin broadcasting in 2022.
More than four years after the conclusion of its previous TV anime series, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans," Bandai and Sunrise Animation are finally launching a new project. "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" is positioned as the latest entry in the Gundam franchise, suggesting a potentially entirely new worldview distinct from previous entries. The title's refined style is also reminiscent of recent hits like "Iron-Blooded Orphans" and "Hathaway's Flash."
Currently, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" has yet to announce its story synopsis, production staff, or other details. Only an official website has been launched, with detailed project information to be revealed at a later date.
