Following the highly popular first wave of "PUI PUI Molcar Corocoro Friends" box toys, BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's BANDAI Co., Ltd., is back with a second exciting lineup! The "PUI PUI Molcar Corocoro Friends 2" collection features 8 different designs, each priced at an MSRP of 320 JPY, and was released in January 2022.
"PUI PUI Molcar" (PUI PUI モルカー) is an original Japanese stop-motion animation series directed and written by Tomoki Misato. The show stars "Molcars" (モルカー), vehicles crafted from felted wool and inspired by guinea pigs. Centered around the unique situations that arise from these guinea pig-cars, the Molcars, with their beady eyes, short limbs, tiny steps, and signature "PUI PUI" squeaks, navigate heartwarming tales of healing, friendship, adventure, and chaotic action in each episode, all within a concise 2 minutes and 40 seconds!
The "PUI PUI Molcar Corocoro Friends 2" Shokugan series, building on the immense popularity of its predecessor, introduces even more adorable character designs. This second wave includes fan favorites like Potato, Zombie Shiromo, DJ Molcar, the Treasure Hunt Molcar (seen biting a golden carrot!), the charming Wedding Molcar, Mailbox Molcar, Armed Teddy, and the much-talked-about Ebi Sushi Molcar! Each figure stands approximately 5 cm tall and is crafted from a soft, squishy material, making them irresistible to both adults and children.
