Today (22nd), BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS announced the latest addition to its METAL ROBOT魂 series, which combines metallic paint finishes with die-cast frames. The new product, "Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] & Option Parts Set," from the "ADVANCE OF Ζ: The Flag of Titans" side story of "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam," is scheduled for release in March 2022.
The METAL ROBOT魂 line will feature a series of mobile suits from the Titans' "TR Project" in "ADVANCE OF Ζ." The first release is the "Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom]," a unit developed from the GM Quel and subsequently modified after battle damage. Beyond its excellent base performance, it embodies the "TR Project" series' characteristic ability to be enhanced with various optional equipment.
The "METAL ROBOT魂 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom] & Option Parts Set" boasts a high-alloy content frame throughout its body. It utilizes high-gloss, metallic, and even electroplated finishes to achieve a deeply substantial color palette for its intricate details, with markings reproduced via tampo printing. The knee joints feature an interlocking mechanism, while the shoulder grenade launchers and side skirt energy magazines can be recreated using interchangeable parts.
In addition to its standard armaments of a beam rifle, shield, and three beam sabers, the option parts set further includes three "Shield Boosters" and a "Sub-Arm Unit" mounted on the front skirt armor. The sub-arm unit can deploy two auxiliary arms, left and right, capable of equipping beam sabers. The three shield boosters can be attached to the backpack and both arms, and by swapping in the shoulder arm-fixing grip parts, collectors can recreate its powerful, high-mobility form!
Furthermore, TAMASHII NATIONS also teased that the next METAL ROBOT魂 "TR Project" release will be the support enhancement unit for the Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom], the "FF-X29A G-Parts [Hrududu]"!
