For those who seek the ultimate fight! New UK toy brand IconiQ Studios is teaming up with Hong Kong's TBLeague, under official license from CAPCOM, to release a 1/6 scale articulated figure of Ryu, the protagonist from "Street Fighter V"! The figure is slated for release between Q2 and Q3 of 2022!
CAPCOM's flagship fighting game, "Street Fighter," has been synonymous with the genre since its arcade debut in 1987, maintaining enduring popularity. The character who best represents the game is, of course, its protagonist, Ryu. While his name's kanji origin comes from creator Takashi Nishiyama's own name, Ryu's signature special move, the "Hadoken" (波動拳), is practically a universal language among gamers worldwide.
Produced by TBLeague and released by ICONIQ STUDIO, this 1/6 scale Ryu figure stands approximately 30cm tall. It captures Ryu's appearance from the "Street Fighter V" era, featuring real fabric clothing. TBLeague's exclusive seamless muscular body ensures a highly realistic look. The figure comes with a wealth of accessories, including six sets of interchangeable hands for iconic poses like the Shoryuken and Hadoken. Additional parts include extra head sculpts with different expressions, alternate feet, Ryu's travel bag, and a Hadoken effect part, making for a comprehensive and satisfying package.
