Japanese toy manufacturer Phat! Company is renowned for its high-quality bishoujo figure series, a favorite among collectors. Now, Phat! is set to release a stunning new figure featuring one of the key heroines from the popular light novel and anime series, "Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation": Roxy Migurdia! This highly anticipated collectible is slated for a January 2023 release.
The Japanese light novel series "Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation" (無職転生〜異世界行ったら本気だす〜) was penned by author Rifujin na Magote and features illustrations by Shirotaka. It first began serialization in November 2012 on the web novel platform "Shōsetsuka ni Narō," spanning twenty-four chapters. The story follows a 34-year-old unemployed shut-in who, after being kicked out of his home on the day of his parents' funeral, is tragically hit by a truck. He awakens to find himself reincarnated as an infant named Rudeus in a world of swords and magic, determined to live his new life to the fullest.
In the original series, Roxy Migurdia first appears as Rudeus's childhood magic tutor. A member of the Migurd race, she possesses the appearance of a petite young girl, yet she was already in her thirties when she first encountered the protagonist. A formidable Water King-class magician and an A-rank adventurer, she taught Rudeus the fundamentals of magic, marveling at his extraordinary talent. After her departure to continue her travels, she later reunited with an older Rudeus, falling deeply in love with him. Following the tragic loss of his father, Roxy offered Rudeus comfort and solace, eventually becoming his second wife.
Phat!'s new Roxy figure meticulously recreates her iconic design from the original series. She is captured in a dynamic pose, as if mid-stride, staff in hand, exuding a sense of motion. Her signature cape and hat are fully removable, allowing collectors to display her in a more casual, light attire. Crafted in an impressive 1/7 scale, the figure stands approximately 24 cm tall, making it a substantial and eye-catching addition to any collection.
