LEGO's Ideas series officially unveiled its latest creation last night (21st): the "21330 Home Alone" set, based on the classic Christmas comedy film of the same name! It is scheduled for release on November 1, 2021.
The "21330 Home Alone" set is currently the largest LEGO Ideas release to date, boasting an impressive 3,955 pieces. Significantly expanded from original designer adwind's 10,000-vote supported concept, the final set features a much higher piece count and substantial structural modifications. Once assembled, the highly detailed McCallister house stands approximately 27 cm tall and 37 cm long, perfectly capturing the festive Christmas spirit. The exciting design allows the house to split open down the middle, revealing intricate interiors. The back faithfully recreates the rear entrance, and the roof also lifts off, allowing full access to the attic's interior.
Beyond the house itself, this set also includes the Wet Bandits' iconic van, rendered with fantastic accuracy, and even a detailed treehouse! The minifigure lineup features protagonist Kevin, his mother Kate, the McCallisters' neighbor Old Man Marley, and the infamous burglar duo Harry and Marv. With the minifigures and detailed interior, fans can easily recreate Kevin's solo shenanigans and elaborate traps for the Wet Bandits, promising hours of fun!
