Max Factory, the renowned Japanese model kit manufacturer, recently announced the latest addition to their popular and diverse "PLAMAX" assembly model series: the "MS-19 Kage Kagayaki Kououmaru" from "Mashin Hero Wataru," slated for release in March 2022.
This release stems from the "Mashin Daishuugou" series of "Mashin Hero Wataru" model kits launched by TAKARA in 1989, as well as the spin-off manga "Mashin Hero Wataru: Makai Totsunyuu Monogatari," which tied into the models. In the story, to retrieve the four treasures of the Soukaizan world, Wataru Ikusabe, Toraoh, and their companions journey to the Demon World with the Emperor Dragon. Under the influence of Wataru's "Maximum Mashin Power," the Emperor Dragon transforms into its "Kage Kagayaki Steel" form, enveloped in dark light. Its body can then separate into Kage Kagayaki Armor, which can be equipped by Mashins like Ryuuoumaru and Jyakomaru.
The "MS-19 Kage Kagayaki Kououmaru" builds upon the previously released standard version kit. Its armor parts feature a luxurious electroplated finish, providing a rich metallic sheen. Combined with some pre-painted parts, this kit accurately reproduces the mecha's colors as seen in the original design!
Furthermore, this product also includes frame parts for the Kage Kagayaki Emperor Dragon. By combining these with the Kage Kagayaki Armor parts from this kit and the four other upcoming releases—Kage Kagayaki Ryuuoumaru, Kage Kagayaki Jyakomaru, Kage Kagayaki Genoumaru, and Kage Kagayaki Senoumaru—fans can assemble the impressive Kage Kagayaki Emperor Dragon!
