Following the first release, "LANZE REITER," from illustrator neco's new "FALSLANDER" series, Japan's MAX FACTORY (Max Factory Co., Ltd.) has announced the second entry in their popular "figma" articulated figure line: the solitary warrior, "figma RONIN." Priced at 9,900 JPY, the figure is slated for an August 2022 release.
Popular illustrator neco's original illustration series, "FALSLANDER," continues the "armed girls" aesthetic seen in previous works like "Heavily Armed High School Girls" and "A-Z." It masterfully blends rigid machinery with delicate, beautiful girls, creating a striking contrast that is both cool and captivating.
The new "figma RONIN" articulated figure stands at approximately 15 cm tall. Based on neco's original illustration, it faithfully recreates the solitary warrior RONIN, complete with her mysterious ronin hat and massive katana. The figure captures her slender physique, sophisticated matte black armor, purple-gold hakama, and sharp short hair, perfectly embodying the illustration's distinctive aura. Utilizing figma's signature flexible joint parts, along with three interchangeable face plates—an "expressionless face," a "closed-eyes face," and a "glaring face"—and a "great katana (sheathable)" that exceeds her height, plus a "short sword (with sheathing part)," collectors can pose her in a wide array of dynamic battle or everyday scenarios!
▼A "replacement head part" allows for a complete hatless appearance, while "replacement torso parts" and "replacement leg parts" are also included to display her in a lighter, alternate armored state.
