BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan today officially announced the title for the previously teased "SD Gundam World Heroes" Knight World spinoff as "SD Gundam World Heroes: Dragon Knight Legend". Alongside this, they revealed the antagonist's upcoming product, the "SDW HEROES Warlock Aegis Gundam," slated for release in July 2022.
Drawing its design from the Aegis Gundam of "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED," the Warlock Aegis Gundam sports an appearance reminiscent of the classic Satan Gundam. This cruel and collected character leads a faction aiming to overthrow the Arthurian regime in the Knight World, viewing Knight Strike Gundam as its sworn rival.
The "SDW HEROES Warlock Aegis Gundam" kit boasts intricate sculpted details, faithfully recreating features inherited from Satan Gundam, such as its massive head horns, cape, and staff. While its entire body is adorned with opulent gold, be prepared for a significant "paint hell" for color correction. The wings and tail on its back are crafted from clear parts, though a glance from behind reveals visible hollow sections in these curved horn-like structures.
Furthermore, both the head and cape feature an expansion gimmick. When deployed, the cape resembles a pair of wings, with intricate patterns sculpted on the inner surfaces of its parts. The head also allows for swapping its solid antenna with a beam antenna-style option.
