Funny Knights, a brand under veteran Japanese model maker Aoshima, is following up its highly popular Shinobu Kocho figure from "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" with a new release: the Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji 1/8 Scale Pre-Painted Figure. This figure will be available in both a Standard Edition and an Online Store Exclusive Edition, each priced at 15,180 JPY. Both versions are exclusive to the funnyknights online store and are slated for a May 2022 release.
In "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," the Demon King Muzan Kibutsuji stands as the series' tyrannical and cruel primary antagonist. As the progenitor of all demons, having lived for over a millennium, he is their absolute ruler, proclaiming himself "a creature infinitely close to perfection." Muzan transforms humans into demons using his own blood and is responsible for the slaughter of Tanjiro's family and turning Nezuko into a demon. His ruthlessness extends even to his most loyal subordinates; any hint of disrespect or defiance of his will is met with swift and merciless death.
The Muzan Kibutsuji 1/8 Scale Pre-Painted Figure captures the Demon King in his initial appearance, disguised as the human office worker "Mr. Tsukihiko." Standing approximately 25 cm tall, the figure meticulously recreates Muzan's dapper look, complete with his fedora and stylish suit. Every detail, from his handsome yet pale complexion, distinctive red eyes, and subtly wavy hair, to the dynamic wrinkles and intricate patterns of his suit, has been faithfully rendered. The Standard Edition features Muzan in his signature pose, one hand subtly adjusting his hat brim, a faint smile on his face that perfectly encapsulates his cold and sinister nature.
