Aniplex Inc. (株式会社アニプレックス) is set to release a new 1/8 scale figure of Akaza, featuring his "Destructive Kill: Compass Needle" technique, from the highly popular "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train." The figure is priced at 15,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in September 2022.
Akaza, the Upper Rank Three of the Twelve Kizuki, played a pivotal role in "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train." Known as a battle demon, as a human, he relentlessly trained to protect his beloved family. After transforming into a demon, memory loss left him with an unwavering obsession for strength. He reveres the strong, despises the weak, and constantly seeks out powerful opponents to battle and further enhance his abilities.
The "Akaza Destructive Kill: Compass Needle" 1/8 scale figure, based on the TV anime's Mugen Train Arc, stands approximately 185mm tall (including the base). It meticulously recreates Akaza's powerful muscular physique and the deep blue tattoos covering his body, which symbolize his past sins. His distinctive peach-pink short hair, golden eyes, and eerie skin tone are faithfully reproduced, along with intricate details like his blood-red fingernails and the prayer beads on his ankles. Posed in the midst of activating his "Destructive Kill: Compass Needle" technique, the figure also features a special base with a glow-in-the-dark paint application, depicting the iconic snowflake array pattern.
