BANDAI SPIRITS' TAMASHII NATIONS, known for their premium collectible toy line "METAL ROBOT Damashii" (featuring metallic paint finishes and die-cast frames), recently showcased a prototype of their latest release from "Mobile Suit Gundam M-MSV": the "METAL ROBOT Damashii (Ka signature) Prototype ZZ Gundam." A release date has yet to be announced.

The MSΖ-009 Prototype ZZ Gundam is canonically one of the mobile suits developed jointly by the AEUG and Anaheim Electronics as part of the "Z Project." It was conceived as an experimental unit to test the combination and transformation mechanism for the Z Gundam's successor, the ZZ Gundam. The primary difference between this unit and the final ZZ Gundam is the absence of a Core Fighter; it combines solely from the "G-Top Fighter 0" and "G-Bottom Fighter 0." Furthermore, its signature head-mounted weapon, the High Mega Cannon, had not yet been installed.

The "METAL ROBOT Damashii (Ka signature) Prototype ZZ Gundam" is supervised by renowned mechanical designer Hajime Katoki. He brings a fresh style to this mobile suit, originally conceived by Makoto Kobayashi and later revised by Kunio Okawara. The figure utilizes die-cast parts and a heavy, textured paint finish to recreate its formidable armored design, with signature Ver.Ka-style markings printed across the entire body.
