Japan's high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio yesterday (24th) unveiled the first entry in their "Ultimate Diorama Masterline" series: a non-scale full body statue of "Gipsy Danger" from the sci-fi monster film "Pacific Rim"! Both Regular and DX Editions will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping window of March to June 2023.
Gipsy Danger is an American-made, third-generation Jaeger, operated by a two-pilot neural link system. Powered by a nuclear turbine engine that uses seawater to cool its reactor, Gipsy Danger specializes in close-quarters combat, boasting a stable lower body and robust power output, making it a balanced Jaeger with both defense and speed. Its primary weapons are the "Plasma Cannons" mounted on its hands, along with the "Chain Sword" that was added later in the story.
Standing at an impressive 68 cm, this piece meticulously recreates the original 79-meter-tall Gipsy Danger's exterior, armor, and intricate mechanical details. The deep blue main armor, hydraulic systems, and joint components are all rendered with exquisite paintwork that clearly differentiates textures, giving the entire statue an incredibly powerful and weighty presence! LED light-up functions are integrated into the forehead insignia, visor, and chest-mounted nuclear power core, while extensive weathering effects throughout significantly enhance the realism and immersion. Accessories include a swappable left arm to display the Chain Sword.
