Hobby Japan's model brand, AMAKUNI, officially announced its brand-new product line today: "AMAKUNI Shinguchi." The inaugural release will be the "1/20 Scale Discutter," the iconic weapon wielded by the popular Masoukishin Cybuster from "Super Robot Wars OG." This Hobby Japan exclusive is scheduled for release in July-August 2022.
"Cybuster" is an original mecha unit that boasts immense popularity within the "Super Robot Wars" series. This Masoukishin has forged a contract with the wind spirit and is piloted by Masaki Andoh (CV: Hikaru Midorikawa). The unit's performance is exceptionally high, particularly its outstanding mobility, and it can transform into its flight cruise mode, "Cybard." Its primary armament is the physical sword "Discutter," which allows it to fully utilize its superior agility to unleash powerful sword techniques like "Ranbu no Tachi."
The "1/20 Scale Discutter" is crafted from composite materials including ABS, PVC, aluminum, and FRP, measuring an impressive 108 cm in length. It features a metallic paint finish for a weighty, premium feel. The hilt is equipped with four buttons for activation, dialogue, BGM, and special moves. Pressing the corresponding buttons plays up to 10 versions of Cybuster's theme song, "Nekketsu! Shippu! Cybuster," 33 lines of Masaki's dialogue recorded by voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa, 13 special move sound effects, and 3 activation sound effects.
Furthermore, the sword blade houses an LED light-up mechanism that illuminates with special moves, revealing internal magic patterns. A motion sensor also links sound effects to your swings. Additionally, a limited edition will be available, featuring a bonus "Magic Circle" sheet. This approximately 70 cm diameter magic circle film allows you to recreate scenes of unleashing the "Cosmo Nova" attack!
