PLEX, a Japanese company, produces the popular kaiju figures for the "Toho 30cm Series," which are distributed by X-PLUS. They recently announced the latest addition to the "Godzilla" series: the "Godzilla The Ride" figure, slated for a June 2022 release. This product will be available in three versions: a standard edition, a Shonen RIC exclusive edition, and a GODZILLA STORE exclusive edition.
This newly sculpted Godzilla is based on the popular "Godzilla The Ride: Great Monster Summit Battle" attraction, which opened in May 2021 at Japan's Seibuen Amusement Park. The attraction features all-new visuals created by two major teams, led by Takashi Yamazaki of Shirogumi Inc. and Shoichiro Tsuno of Katana Inc. The design of this Godzilla blends characteristics from both the Heisei and Legendary Godzilla iterations, featuring powerful, thick limbs and large dorsal fins.
The "Toho 30cm Series Godzilla The Ride" figure boasts an impressive size, standing 31 cm tall and measuring 60 cm long. It masterfully sculpts Godzilla in a dynamic, powerful pose, turning to confront King Ghidorah. The PVC soft vinyl material captures the rough texture of its skin and the intricate patterns of its massive dorsal fins. The paint application highlights the skin's shading and the dorsal fins' gradient colors, while the robust lower body and tail exude immense presence and power!
Additionally, X-PLUS will release an exclusive version through its official "Shonen RIC" store. This limited edition features an embedded LED light-up gimmick in the dorsal fins, allowing them to glow blue when activated, perfectly replicating the moment Godzilla prepares to unleash its atomic breath!
