PLEX, a Japanese company, produces the popular monster figures for the X-PLUS-distributed "Toho 30cm Series." They recently announced the latest addition to the "Godzilla" lineup: the "Godzilla The Ride Godzilla Store Limited Edition," slated for release in June 2022. This figure is also available as a Standard Edition and a Shonen RIC Limited Edition.
This three-dimensional rendition of Godzilla is based on the popular attraction "Godzilla The Ride: Great Monster Summit Battle," which opened in May 2021 at Japan's Seibu-en amusement park. The design, a collaboration led by Takashi Yamazaki of Shirogumi Inc. and Shoichiro Tsuno of Katana Inc., features a new visual interpretation that blends characteristics of both the Heisei and Legendary Godzilla iterations, boasting powerful, thick limbs and imposing dorsal fins.
The "Toho 30cm Series Godzilla The Ride Godzilla Store Limited Edition" is exclusively available at the official Godzilla Store. While its core sculpt is identical to the Standard and Shonen RIC Limited Editions, this version features a unique paint scheme. Standing at an impressive 31 cm tall and measuring 60 cm long, the figure captures Godzilla in a dynamic pose, poised to confront King Ghidorah. Its dorsal fins are painted in a vibrant blue, faithfully recreating the iconic glow just before Godzilla unleashes its atomic heat ray!
