"Every defendant is guilty!" Good Smile Company's popular Nendoroid series is set to release a Nendoroid figure of Miles Edgeworth, one of the main characters from the renowned visual novel adventure game "Ace Attorney," in August 2022!
Developed by gaming giant CAPCOM and created by renowned producer Shu Takumi, "Ace Attorney" is a mystery visual novel adventure game centered around courtroom battles. Players step into the shoes of rookie lawyer Phoenix Wright (Ryūichi Naruhodō), defending clients in various cases across multiple incidents. To succeed, players must carefully listen to witness testimonies, cross-reference them with the incident's outcome, uncover inconsistencies, and use meticulously gathered evidence to expose lying witnesses and reveal the truth. The experience is incredibly satisfying, akin to being immersed in a thrilling, interactive mystery drama.
Miles Edgeworth, the prosecutor who consistently stands opposite the protagonist, is a key figure in the game. He became a prosecutor at a young age and maintained an undefeated record for five consecutive years. Initially, he was a staunch individual who would stop at nothing to secure a guilty verdict, believing it served justice. However, after his encounters with Phoenix Wright, he began to acknowledge Phoenix's ideals, abandoning his rigid principles and gradually aligning with Phoenix in the shared pursuit of truth, often offering assistance. He also stars in his own spin-off series, "Ace Attorney Investigations," making him an equally popular character within the franchise.
This Nendoroid rendition of Miles Edgeworth faithfully recreates his in-game appearance. He sports his signature burgundy suit, complete with a cravat, and his distinctive gray, short center-parted hairstyle. The figure includes three interchangeable face plates: a standard expression, a displeased look, and a smug, triumphant grin. For accessories, similar to the Phoenix Wright Nendoroid, he comes with a courtroom desk, various documents, and six different speech bubble effect parts from the game, available in Chinese, English, and Japanese!
