GOOD SMILE COMPANY, the Japanese manufacturer behind the immensely popular "Nendoroid" series with over a thousand unique figures, is set to release the first Nendoroid from "Jujutsu Kaisen 0": the "Nendoroid Yuta Okkotsu: Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Ver."! Priced at 6,600 JPY, this highly anticipated figure is slated for a July 2022 release.
"Jujutsu Kaisen 0" is a prequel story to the main "Jujutsu Kaisen" series, adapting the manga "Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School." The film centers on Yuta Okkotsu, a character frequently mentioned as "Yuta-senpai" in the main anime. Yuta is haunted by his childhood friend Rika, who transformed into a Special Grade Cursed Spirit, causing abnormal events to constantly occur around him. With the help of Jujutsu Sorcerer Satoru Gojo, Yuta enrolls in Jujutsu High to learn how to control his immense power and exorcise vengeful spirits. The "Night Parade of a Hundred Demons" on December 24th, a major event highlighted in the film's trailers, serves as a pivotal moment in the movie.
The film premiered in Japan on December 24, 2021.
The "Nendoroid Yuta Okkotsu: Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Ver." articulated figure stands approximately 10 cm tall, perfectly capturing Yuta's seemingly harmless, perpetually dark-eyed appearance in adorable Nendoroid form. It comes with three interchangeable face plates: a neutral "standard face," a fierce "combat face" for intense battle scenes, and a blushing "smiling face." Accessories include his iconic "katana," a "sword bag" worn on his back, and a dynamic "illustration sheet" of the Cursed Spirit Rika, allowing fans to recreate powerful scenes of the "Pure Love Warrior" from the film!
▼The special circular base features a design inspired by his katana and ring.
