BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has officially announced the latest additions to their Master Grade (MG) Gunpla series, renowned for its cutting-edge technology, intricate part separation, and exceptional articulation. Hailing from the "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" side story, the "MG 1/100 Gundam Astrea Type F Avalanche Dash Unit" and a re-release of the "MG 1/100 Gundam Astrea Type F (Full Weapon Set)" are both scheduled for release in April 2022. Both items will be Premium Bandai exclusives.
Appearing in "Mobile Suit Gundam 00I," Fon Spaak's custom Gundam Astrea Type F is a unit modified from a recovered mass-produced "Gundam Astrea Type F (Black)." While its red coloring and mask are identical to the original Gundam Astrea Type F, it is notably equipped with a pseudo-Solar Reactor. The unit's most distinctive feature is its ability to utilize a vast array of recovered and seized armaments, allowing it to form both a "Heavy Weapon Mode" and an "Avalanche Dash Mode."
The "MG 1/100 Gundam Astrea Type F Avalanche Dash Unit" is a refined version of the Avalanche Dash equipment previously released for the Gundam Exia. Its molding colors have been meticulously updated to match the distinctive red of the Gundam Astrea Type F. By combining this unit with the separately sold "MG 1/100 Gundam Astrea Type F" main unit, collectors can faithfully recreate the imposing high-mobility "Avalanche Dash Gundam Astrea Type F" form.
