Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys recently delighted fans with new Marty McFly and Doc Brown figures from the first and third "Back to the Future" films, sparking widespread anticipation for a new version of the iconic Time Machine. Now, that wish has come true! The 1/6 scale "DeLorean Time Machine" collectible vehicle, based on its appearance in "Back to the Future Part II," is slated for release in Q2–Q3 2023.
It's been several years since Hot Toys released their first Time Machine in 2014. This long-awaited return of the "DeLorean Time Machine" is meticulously crafted to replicate its "Back to the Future Part II" specifications, featuring the addition of the "Mr. Fusion" home energy reactor and a hover conversion mechanism. Paired with a display base, collectors can recreate its classic flight mode! This impressive piece stands approximately 25 cm tall and boasts a substantial length of 72 cm, faithfully reproducing the car's metallic silver finish with a weighty, authentic feel. Exposed wiring, high-tech electronic devices, and the accordion-style engine at the rear are all intricately detailed – it looks incredibly cool!
Inside, the dashboard, time travel destination display, and the crucial "Flux Capacitor" are all exquisitely sculpted. Functional features include gull-wing doors and wheels that can rotate 90 degrees for flight mode. Furthermore, LED light-up functions are integrated into the front, rear, dashboard, Flux Capacitor, and wheels, enhancing the immersive experience and evoking the adventurous spirit of time travel when illuminated.
