The official Gunpla flagship store for Japan's "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, GUNDAM BASE, has announced that its latest store-exclusive limited edition product, the "MG 1/100 Gundam Dynames [Clear Color]", will be released on March 5, 2022.
The GN-002 Gundam Dynames stands as one of the third-generation Gundam mobile suits developed by the private armed organization Celestial Being. It was piloted by the first Lockon Stratos (Neil Dylandy). In contrast to the close-quarters combat specialist Gundam Exia, the Dynames was engineered specifically for long-range sniping. It boasts a versatile array of shooting armaments, including GN Beam Pistols, GN Missiles, and its signature GN Sniper Rifle. Lockon primarily utilized the sniper rifle, which best suited the mobile suit's capabilities. A high-precision camera built into its head can deploy during sniping, significantly enhancing ultra-long-range shooting accuracy. When focused on sniping, the Dynames can even entrust Haro to control the mobile suit for evasion.
The "MG 1/100 Gundam Dynames [Clear Color]" is based on the standard release from 2019. All white, yellow, red, and green armor parts are molded in clear plastic, while the gray inner frame and weapon components feature a metallic gunmetal-like molding color. This combination offers a unique translucent aesthetic compared to the original kit.
This kit features a highly flexible inner frame, enabling it to achieve natural high-kneeling sniper poses. It also incorporates various deployment gimmicks, such as the head's high-precision camera, the GN Sniper Rifle's bipod, the rear skirt thrusters, and the knee-mounted signal flares. Additionally, the movable mechanism for the GN Full Shield allows it to cover the upper body. The kit comes complete with two GN Beam Pistols, GN Beam Sabers, and other armaments.
