Sanrio characters, long beloved by toy collectors for their adorable designs, are getting more than just cute this time around! The "Explore Universe" blind box series, developed by Taiwan's Shuang Wei Enterprise Development Department in collaboration with Sanrio, sees these beloved characters don their astronaut suits and venture into space!
The "Explore Universe" blind box figures reimagine Sanrio's stars as space adventurers, standing approximately 6–8 cm tall. Each non-articulated figure is outfitted in a custom-designed astronaut suit. The collection features 6 different characters: Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Kuromi, My Melody, Pochacco, and Pompompurin. Beyond the intricate detailing on each suit, clear parts are used for the visors, adding realism and depth. Notably, all 6 figures boast a substantial weight, providing a satisfying premium feel in hand!
▼ Each character comes with a special "planet-themed display base" that can be freely connected for display or used as a backdrop.
▼ Lined up, they're perfect for decorating an office desk!
● Hello Kitty (ハローキティ)
Let's take a closer look at the details of each figure. First up is Hello Kitty, sporting a red and white astronaut suit accented with vibrant yellow. Her signature bow remains as eye-catching as ever!
● Cinnamoroll (シナモロール)
The second figure is Cinnamoroll, known for flying with his ears. His pure white body is complemented by a light blue astronaut suit, matching his eyes. His fully enclosed ears create an incredibly soothing visual, and his tail design is perfectly replicated – utterly adorable.
● Kuromi (クロミ)
Next is Kuromi, the mischievous devil rabbit. Her signature wicked gaze and pink skull emblem on her forehead are faithfully recreated. Her astronaut suit features black paired with two shades of pink. It's worth noting the heavy metallic paint application on her helmet's ears, and a tiny devil tail is visible on her back.
● My Melody (マイメロディ)
Then we have My Melody, enveloped in pink and light blue. The blue accessories on either side of her hood and the bow on her back give her a futuristic look. Her distinctive bent right ear remains unchanged, even as she prepares for space.
● Pochacco (ポチャッコ)
The fifth figure, Pochacco, is primarily white, red, and blue. His iconic one-ear-up, one-ear-down style is maintained, and like Kuromi, he features metallic paint and polished finishes.
● Pompompurin (ポムポムプリン)
Finally, the roundest character in the series, Pompompurin. His yellow astronaut suit features several orange straps, and his signature brown beret is retained, making for an incredibly charming overall look!
▼ With a diorama, it truly feels like they're ready to embark on a journey to the cosmos!
