Today, BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division's TAMASHII NATIONS has announced the third new transforming alloy figure in their "DX Chogokin" series from "Macross Delta the Movie: Absolute LIVE!!!!!!": the "VF-31AX Kairos Plus (Bogue Con-Vaart Custom)," slated for release in July 2022.
The new VF-31AX Kairos Plus, which debuted in the movie, is an emergency modification based on the VF-31A Kairos. It utilizes spare parts from the VF-31 Siegfried series to replace the moderately damaged Siegfried after battle. This unit features a large Fold Quartz Gunpod and an all-around display, with significant enhancements to its overall performance and equipment.
The "DX Chogokin VF-31AX Kairos Plus (Bogue Con-Vaart Custom)" uses the same Kairos Plus body as the previous two releases. It features newly sculpted parts to accurately reproduce its distinctive "three-eyed" head and the livery bearing the Windermere Aerial Knights' emblem. Portions of the frame are constructed with die-cast metal, ensuring a precise and fully transformable mechanism across its Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes, along with excellent articulation.
Accessories include six pairs of interchangeable hands, a combat knife for both left and right, a Gunpod, and a dedicated display stand. The clear cockpit canopy also replicates its opening mechanism, allowing for the included Bogue pilot figure to be seated inside.
