CCP, a toy company renowned for its high-quality PVC soft vinyl products, is set to release a battle-damaged version of the classic kaiju Gamera, along with a High Grade (HG) variant, under its AMC "Artistic Monsters Collection" series. Both are slated for a November 2022 release.
Gamera is a kaiju with immense popularity in Japan, often considered on par with Godzilla. The "Heisei Gamera Trilogy," consisting of the 1995 film "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe," 1996's "Gamera 2: Attack of Legion," and 1999's "Gamera 3: Revenge of Irys," continues to generate significant discussion and fan interest. Notably, Gamera's appearance in the third film is considerably more ferocious than in the preceding two installments.
This AMC series Gamera figure from CCP is based on Gamera's appearance in the third film, specifically depicting its injured right arm. In the intense confrontation between Gamera and Irys in "Gamera 3," Gamera famously severs its own right arm, using the severed limb to absorb Irys's fireball, convert its energy, and then pierce Irys's body. While this particular sculpt was previously released as a limited edition, this new release faithfully retains the exposed bone of the severed arm. However, unlike some previous versions, the injured area does not feature a light-up function. Nevertheless, the overall sculpting remains incredibly detailed.

Additionally, a High Grade (HG) version of this sculpt will be released concurrently. This HG variant enhances the aforementioned severed arm detail by adding green "injured blood." It also depicts Gamera's left hand stained with Irys's blood after piercing its body and rescuing Ayana. Furthermore, the shell features various battle scars and grime, resulting in an even more realistic and dynamic appearance.
