To celebrate Japan's "Super Cat Day" on February 22, 2022, the official Dragon Ball Twitter account (@DB_official_jp) held a special "Saiyan Cat Spaceship" giveaway! Designed as a cozy pet bed, this Saiyan-themed spaceship lets your feline friends invade Earth in style!
In Japan, February 22 is designated as "Cat Day" (猫の日) because the consecutive pronunciation of multiple "2"s (ni) sounds similar to a cat's meow, "nyan" (ニャン). February 22, 2022, falling on a Tuesday, was dubbed "Super Cat Day," with many fans capturing screenshots at 22:22 to commemorate what might be the most "2"s they'd ever see in one day! The official Dragon Ball Twitter didn't miss this "super" occasion, launching their "Saiyan Cat Spaceship" giveaway.
This spherical spaceship, with a diameter of 37 cm, faithfully recreates the iconic Saiyan pod design. It features safe ventilation, a comfortable cushion, and even adorable cat-shaped control buttons inside the cockpit – truly designed for "the strongest non-combat race"! Fans could enter the lottery by retweeting the announcement during the campaign period. While this event was exclusive to Japan, its charming design and creative concept had fans clamoring for a commercial release!
