Japanese capsule toy maker YELL is back with another adorable cat-themed series! Get ready for the "Matatabi Ninja Arts Scroll" (Matatabi Ninpō Emaki) collection, scheduled to launch in June 2022.
This new gashapon series combines two perennially popular themes: cats and ninjas. The "Matatabi Ninja Arts Scroll" lineup features five different cats, each decked out in a purple ninja uniform. These anthropomorphic felines are captured in dynamic, hilarious poses as they execute classic ninjutsu techniques, including one ready for a duel wielding a pacific saury as a sword (yes, really!), one making a quick escape in a puff of smoke, another performing the Flying Squirrel Jutsu, one mastering the art of Hiding, and a final ninja executing the Water Style Jutsu by breathing through a reed underwater. It's a fantastic collection of 5 classic ninja moves!
Aside from the dueling cat, each figure showcases a truly classic ninja art—and they're all incredibly cute! The Flying Squirrel Jutsu figure can also be used as a charm, while the cat from the Hiding Jutsu can be removed from its hiding spot for separate display. This is definitely a set you'll want to collect in its entirety!
