Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced two exciting new additions to its "EVOROIDS" assembly model kit series for younger builders: the tactical support unit EVG-R01 GYRO-N and the **S-EGR-06 SKY-EAGLE** flying warrior! Both kits are priced at 3,080 JPY each and are slated for release in September 2022.
The "EVOROIDS" line is a brand-new robot model kit series designed for ages 8 and up. It boasts an impressive creative team, including mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, manga artist Koichi Tokita, and toy design and planning company ASTRAYS. This series carries on the legacy of the 1980s "OMOROID" toy line, which also featured designs by Okawara and Tokita. EVOROIDS models feature a low-head design and are significantly easier to assemble than previous Kotobukiya products, with each unit capable of transforming into two distinct forms.
The "EVOROIDS S-EGR-06 SKY-EAGLE" kit comes molded in classic eagle colors of white, black, and yellow. Its core body features a versatile gunmetal color, and all parts utilize a standard 3mm joint system. This allows for simple assembly to create both its robot form and a majestic eagle with outstretched wings. Collectors can further enhance their display by swapping parts with other models in the series, such as the EVR-01 REX and EVR-02 LEO units, or by integrating parts from Kotobukiya's M.S.G (Modeling Support Goods), Frame Arms, or Hexa Gear lines, all of which share the compatible 3mm peg system for extensive customization!
